If you're a hunter of small game or a fan of target shooting, a CO2 gun or CO2 air pistol can be a great firearm. There are several things to think about when buying a new or used CO2 air gun on eBay, especially considering that you'll want to be safe above all else.

Important features to consider when shopping for CO2 pistols

Factors to consider as you look on eBay for new or used CO2 guns for sale include:

  • Triggers - The pressure you have to exert on the trigger before it shoots could vary. Many of the available options on eBay will fire with 3 pounds of pull. There may be some models that have lighter pulls, down to 1 pound or less.
  • Scopes - If you'd like a better view of what you're shooting at, you may be able to find a CO2 gun with a scope with magnification, which could be between 2x and 5x. There are also many scopes that have no magnification but still help with aiming because of the reticle.
  • Ammunition - Some CO2 air guns may shoot both pellets and BBs while others do just one or the other. CO2 BB pistols may be cheaper than those that can shoot both types of ammo.
Are there any automatic CO2 guns for sale?

There are some models that function as full-auto guns. The Beretta M92A1 BB Pistol can fire 18 shots with one trigger pull, and the Umarex Steel Storm Tactical BB gun lets you shoot in six-shot bursts. Many of the full-auto guns can be used in semi-auto mode. There are also many more semi-automatic pistols, including the:

Do all CO2 pistols have blowback?

With blowback, there will be simulated recoil, which is something that some people prefer on a CO2 pistol. There are also many guns that don't have blowback, and this can allow them to have enhanced accuracy and reliability. Cheap CO2 guns are more likely to be non-blowback guns, like the Beretta Elite II BB pistol or the Colt Peacemaker SAA BB revolver.
