Marmot offers sleeping bags with specific designs, shapes, and lengths for men, women, and children, and they provide European Norm testing temperature ratings.
What is the difference between synthetic and down filling?Marmot's patented synthetic SpiraFil is a water-resistant, quick drying, and hypo-allergenic filling made from strands of polyester fibers. Some Marmot bags are available with a synthetic filling made from recycled materials. Alternatively, the lightweight, moisture-wicking, down filling may be made from a combination of natural goose and duck down feathers. Typically, down is slightly more compressible and lighter weight than the trademarked SpiraFil.
How do you determine the right fit of a sleeping bag?A good sleeping bag fit is subjective and will vary from person to person and depend strongly on personal preference. The following can be used to determine which bag would be the most comfortable to an individual.

Marmot bags display a temperature rating based on European Norm testing. Its performance is tested by a third party in internationally certified laboratories using standardized testing methods. Some temperature ratings are as follows:
- Comfort Rating: The sleeping bag is the temperature at which an average person would have a comfortable sleep in the bag, typically to 30º F.
- The Lower Limit Rating: A lower temperature at which an average person would have a comfortable sleep in the bag, typically to 20º F.
- The Extreme or Survival Rating: The lowest temperature a standard person could survive while sleeping in the bag, typically to -12º F.

- Hand wash in warm water.
- Machine wash on gentle cycle in front-load machine only.
- Do not dry clean.
- Do not bleach.
- Use only dry powder detergent.
