Nikon Binoculars

Nikon binoculars feature coated lenses that are made of extra-low dispersion (ED) glass for improved optical precision. Binoculars can be used for a variety of applications, ranging from bird watching, viewing sports events, hiking, or watching opera.

Nikon offers a number of specialty binoculars, including:

• Sports binoculars: Nikon sports binoculars are designed with a wide field of view for tracking action during sports events across a large playing field, such as in football, rugby, and baseball games.
• Nature binoculars: Nature-viewing binoculars are designed for sharper fields of view to allow users to see details at distances far enough away not to disturb animals.
• Compact binoculars: Compact binoculars are lightweight and small enough to be carried in purses or pockets. They are intended for concerts and entertainment venues where short focusing distances are preferred.
• Marine binoculars: Nikon's marine binoculars are waterproof and equipped with compasses. Floating straps are provided. An optional adapter allows for tripod mounting.

• Eye cups: Nikon's rubber eye cups are designed to make it comfortable to use your binoculars. They have a turn-and-slide function for customized positioning. This adjustability helps the cups conform to the shape of the user's eye sockets.
• Adjustment-ring locking system: Nikon eyepiece-diopter adjustment rings are equipped with a locking system so that the diopter setting will not drift once it is set.
• Waterproof and fogproof performance: The bodies of these Nikon devices are filled with nitrogen, which helps them to withstand changes in water pressure.
• Armoring: Many of these Nikon binoculars are equipped with rubber armor that is designed for comfort and resistance to shock.
• Field-flattener lens system: This feature counters the field-angle dependence of the focal length of a system to improve edge sharpness and lower distortion.

• Magnesium alloy: The bodies of these devices are traditionally constructed out of magnesium alloy.
• Lead and arsenic-free glass: The lenses and prisms are constructed out of glass that is free of lead and arsenic.
• Rubber: Soft, rubber eye cups are designed to provide comfort during use.
