Cellphones are multipurpose devices that many people use every day for functions like making calls, sending text messages, telling the time, and listening to music. Pantech offers flip-style cellphones that are entry-level options for those who do not want all the features of smartphones.

Once your flip phone is unlocked, you can switch SIM cards when you want to change phones or carriers. Here's how to unlock your device:

• Put in the SIM card and turn on the handset by pushing the power button.
• This step will vary based on the specific model you are using. A prompt for you to enter a password should appear on the C530 and C150 (AT&T) models. The unlock code will also be necessary; this can be found in the user manual.
• Once you see the SIM Unlock Menu, enter your unlock code. You will then be prompted to enter the code again. When you do, the phone will show a message for the unlock process.
• If you are not asked for a code, reread the manual and user guide, which should take you to the unlock menu so you can obtain the unlock code.

It is important to have a cellphone or other mobile device that is capable of keeping time for occasions when you do not have your watch. If you have removed the battery and need to reset the time on your phone, follow these steps:

• Switch off the time automatic update on your Pantech cellphone. You will be able to obtain further instructions from the user guide or manual that came with the device. Change the settings on your phone to advanced mode, then press the menu button on the standby display screen.
• Scroll to the settings part of your menu screen, click on it, then scroll to Phone.
• Scroll to Time and Date, select this option, then click on Auto Update to turn it off.
• Go back one step and select Time and Date once more. Change the time and date by using the navigation keys and entering the numbers that correspond to the correct time. Finally, hit Save.

To turn on your phone, hold down the power button for up to three seconds; do this until the screen light comes on. If you want to power off the device, hold down the same button again. There should be a pop-up menu that gives you the option of powering off your Pantech phone. You should then touch the power-off button to turn off your Pantech phone.
